Having been in the construction business for a long time, we know just how big the scope of the projects you tackle are. When you are talking about moving literal tons of earth and materials, and then putting them together in a way that is structurally sound, safe, and aesthetic, there really isn’t much room for error. Luckily, construction technology has been making some pretty amazing advances lately. All that is stopping you from using it to increase your construction company’s efficiency is knowing how to use it. That is where we come in with our certified training courses. Here are some of the training courses we offer.
Business Center — HCE Core & Basics
Business center is a powerful tool that allows you to seamlessly and effectively manage data. It communicates between your office, your machinery’s Trimble SCS900 Site Controller Software, and Trimble Machine Control technology. This basic class takes place over two days, eight hours each day. There are no prerequisites. It provides an orientation to the application, as well provides basic instructions for user interface, importing data, viewing and verifying data and basic surface model features, creating and editing surfaces, and much more.
Business Center — HCE Corridors
Another two day course on Business Center, this course builds on Business Center — HCE Core & Basics (which is a prerequisite for taking HCE Corridors). It gives instructions for using Corridor tools in Business Center, including the Intersection Tool and the Corridor Mass Haul Analysis Tool. It covers things like creating and editing horizontal and vertical alignments, managing material layers, defining strata layers, reviewing surfaces to check for accuracy, generating reports, and much more. This functionality will allow you to reduce drive time, reduce work, win more bids, and increase profit.
Business Center — Site Takeoff
This Business Center course is a little shorter than the previous two classes, at 1 and 1/2 days long. It builds on many of the technical learning necessary for Business Center. It teaches how to use the Site Mass Haul Analysis Tools, import PDF images, digitize linework from a PDF, assign site improvements, utilize Takeoff reporting, understand layer categorizing and layer protection, add Earthwork Sites, and much more.
SCS900 v3.5x and Road Stakeout with GNSS
This class is intended to be taken by construction contractor filed employees who are involved in grading, stakeout, volume and topographic surveys. It teaches how to utilize the SCS900 software, which uses GNSS satellite tracking and communicates with a windows based mobile computer. These tools can integrate with Business Center for a seamless flow of data wherever it needs to go. You’ll learn about creating, managing, and editing site and work orders, performing Site calibration, performing volume measurements, setting up a Base and Rover (GNSS), staking out lines, points, and planes, creating templates, and exporting road designs to Business Center, among many other things.
If you think you could benefit from any of these classes, please don’t hesitate to sign up.
